Power quality improvement and analysis of interconnected bus system with PMU using VSM-STATCOM

The traditional static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) present in the power grid to compensate instability problem will not be able maintain stability of system due fluctuations point common coupling (PCC) voltage and frequency variation that may result poor synchronization grid. solution for this is improvement conventional STATCOM virtual machine–static (VSM-STATCOM). In paper an interconnected IEEE-14 bus considered analysis with VSM-STATCOM profile on weakest system. order find bus, load flow carried out using Newton Rapson method. A connected at injecting reactive power. For a fault introduced any line observed without VSM-STATCOM. also compared control which has no inertia module. comparative carrier parameters magnitude weak taken into consideration. are measured phasor measurement units. model designed MATLAB Simulink systems library block sets graphical user interface (GUI) environment.
